HELP FREE CHAMI
Chami has spent seven months in Texas A&M’s Multi-Species Research Building, spinning in a small kennel in visible distress—often defecating while circling and showing signs of deep psychological trauma.
A whistleblower documented her suffering and repeatedly pushed for intervention. Their reports were ignored or scrubbed, and the caregiver who spoke out was fired. Instead of releasing Chami, the university reassigned her and her kennel-mate, Felicity, to a painful infusion study set to begin in June—a protocol that would have ended in their deaths.
Beagle Freedom Project (BFP) offered immediate placement, full veterinary and behavioral care, and permanent adoptive homes. Texas A&M refused—and then tried to silence BFP’s advocacy.
So we went to court. The case now seeks to permanently stop the experiments, release Chami and Felicity to safety, and hold university officials accountable.
Donate now to help us keep fighting for Chami, Felicity still trapped inside.
