Help us show our Freedom Fields kitties some love this Valentine’s Day! With your donation of $10 or more, you can choose any Freedom Fields kitty to send a Meowlentine to! Once your donation has been received, the BFP Team will proudly display your name on a heart-shaped card at the Freedom Fields cat center in honor of your contribution to a laboratory surviving cat's care!
Frequently asked questions
Animal testing involves experimentation on cats and dogs?
It’s estimated that at any given time in the U.S., nearly 800,000 animals are held in animal testing laboratories—this includes thousands of cats and dogs. While BFP firmly rejects speciesism and believes that no animal should ever be subjected to experimentation, we recognize that many people are unaware of the exploitation of cats and dogs in these settings. The fact that such practices still occur often surprises and shocks those who learn about it.
What is Beagle Freedom Project doing to end animal testing?
Beagle Freedom Project (BFP) works to end animal testing through rescues, advocacy, and education. BFP rescues animals from laboratories, finds them loving homes, and promotes outreach to raise awareness. We lobby for stronger laws to ban animal testing and support humane research methods that don’t involve animal suffering. Through education, BFP empowers the public to take action against animal testing and encourage alternatives.
How can I make a difference?
You can make an impact in the fight against animal testing by using your voice to raise awareness (this is the biggest part!), adopting or fostering animals who’ve survived experimentation, supporting cruelty-free brands, and standing behind organizations that work to end all forms of animal cruelty and exploitation!
